I am pleased to announce that I will be offering a new English-language traditional Japanese confectionary workshop. The theme is “Seasonal Flowers in Japan and Elegant Kimono Colors of the Heian Period”. We will make “Nerikiri” by using traditional tools and techniques.
The workshop provides participants with the experience of making traditional Japanese confections and learning about the elegant traditional culture of Japan.

【練り切り作り体験のご案内】
「日本の四季の花と平安の色合わせ」をテーマに、和菓子作り体験をご提供することになりました。
日本の四季の豊かさを感じながら、季節に合わせた日本の花の練り切りと、
平安の色合わせ・かさねの色目をもとに、日本の雅と季節を感じる色合わせの茶巾絞りを、
作ります。
和菓子作りの伝統的な技法を使うだけでなく、
和菓子や日本の歴史・文化もご紹介。
作る・知る・食べるを通じて日本を感じていただける体験です。
